1.Institute that collects Personal Data: Taiwan Network Information Center (hereinafter referred to as the “TWNIC” or “this Center”).

2.Purposes of Collection:

(1)Process matters relating to the registration, participation, notification, and contact of Internet Week 2026, including: ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum 2026, APNIC-TWNIC IP Open Policy Meeting, TWNIC Community Forum, and Taiwan Internet Governance Forum (TWIGF);

(2)Deliver the e-newsletters of this Center and other TWNIC event information;

3.Categories of Personal Data: Including name, gender, employer, job title, email and ID number. TWNIC may automatically analyze Personal Data provided by owners as necessary, with outcomes complying with the said purposes of collection.

4.Duration of Preservation and Use of Personal Data: Personal Data will be preserved and used during the existence of the purposes of collection. However, you may request this Center at any time to delete such Personal Data. TWNIC will process your request in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

5.Territory of Preservation and Use of Personal Data: All hard copies of Personal Data will, in principle, be stored on the servers of this Center located in Taiwan or overseas. TWNIC may also transmit Personal Data overseas as needed by the relevant services. TWNIC shall ensure that the said overseas regions are not restricted from international data transmission by the central competent authorities in advance.

6.Users of Personal Data: Personal Data will be used by execution units, administration units and partner units relating to the events; TWNIC contractors; and other persons consented by owners.

7.Method of Use of Personal Data: Within the necessary scope of collection in accordance with the regulations stipulated by law or the terms and conditions set forth in the contract, this Center will use Personal Data by non-automated/automated means or other means appropriate to the contemporary technology.

8.Owner’s rights over Personal Data and Methods of Exercise:

(1)In accordance with Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you enjoy the following rights over Personal Data: To inquire about and review, request for a copy of, supplement or correct, demand the cessation of the collection, processing or use, and erase Personal Data; revoke this Personal Data Collection Statement; understand TWNIC’s logic of automated analysis of Personal Data.

(2)Owners may exercise the above rights through the online customer service of TWNIC (www.twnic.tw/service) (requests for exercising such rights shall be subject to the return confirmation of TWNIC) or by post (mailing address: 3F, No. 123, Section 4, Bade Road, Songshan District, Taipei City). TWNIC will process all such requests as quickly as possible upon receipt.

(3)You may unsubscribe the e-newsletters or other TWNIC event information issued by this Center at any time according to the methods indicated in the e-newsletters or event information.

9.TWNIC will manage and use high-risk Personal Data that is sensitive to owners (including, but not limited to, the special personal information as stipulated in Article 6 of the Personal Data Protection Act) with appropriate and adequate security maintenance measures to maintain the rights and interests of owners.

10.You may appeal to the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA), the competent authority of TWNIC, any doubts regarding the collection, processing, use, and preservation of Personal Data.

11.Effects on Rights and Interests for Refusal of Provision of Personal Data: It is your free will to provide Personal Data. When you refuse to provide Personal Data required by this Center to provide the related services, this Center will be unable to review and/or process your application and provide the requested services. Hence, this Center will reject your application for the relevant services.
